The people of Ezza North Local Government  of Ebonyi state have been urged to support the second term bid of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State.

A former House of Representatives aspirant in Ebonyi State, Engr. Frank Ngwu, made the call during the fertiliser distribution and empowerment programme for farmers in Ohatekwe village, Ezza North LG. He said that the best way for the Ezza political bloc to reciprocate the good gestures of Mr. President and Governor Nwifuru was to give them massive votes come 2027.

Ngwu, who is a staunch loyalist of the Minister of Works, Chief David  Umahi, explained that the empowerment event was in continuation of the fertiliser distribution programme of the Works Minister across all local governments in the neighbouring states.

He expressed gratitude to the Works Minister, describing him as “my boss, my chairman, and my mentor”, adding that Umahi “is the architect of this programme that we have today”.

“Over 85 percent of Ebonyians are farmers and for this reason, the Honourable Minister of Works deemed it necessary to support our farmers. He also provided some token of funds to all the beneficiaries,” he said.

Ngwu further described Umahi as a gift to Nigeria and Ebonyi state, adding that his infrastructural projects across the country remained testament to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu’s administration.

He said: “When you are coming from Abakaliki, you will see that there is already an ongoing dualization road project. The Calabar-Onueke-Benue-Abuja coaster highway has witnessed tremendous progress of works along Ezza North section through Onueke flyover”.

“There’s also another flyover that is going to take place at Ukwachi. This our Ebiaji road we plied today was constructed by Senator Umahi when he was the Governor of Ebonyi state.

“There’s also ongoing work on Abakaliki-Enugu expressway. Other projects include the dualization of Abakaliki to Afikbo road; dualization of Afikpo to Okigwe among other projects”.

Ngwu stated that the only way to reciprocate these kind gestures for the state, was to vote massively for the re-election of President Tinubu and other APC candidates in Ebonyi  State.

The former aspirant also commended Governor Nwifuru for his achievements especially in good governance and restoration of peace in the restive parts of the state.

“We commend our dear governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru for his achievements especially for his peace initiatives in the state,” he said.

Ngwu stressed the need for the Ezza clan/political bloc to stick with Governor Nwifuru, pointing to the present and future benefits it would yield for the area.

“We have to support his reelection as he has promised to handover to Ezza man in 2031. We have to support him now, so that he will support us to succeed him,” Ngwu stated.

Stakeholders of the communities were on hand to give their collective support and express appreciation for the dividends of democracy being enjoyed in the communities. Prominent personalities at the event include the Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Collins Igboke; the pioneer chairman of Ebonyi APC, Hon. Ben Nwobasi; traditional ruler of Okaleru Community, HRH Ezeogo Basil Nwafor, and a Chieftain of APC, Chief Joseph Ozor Chukwu.

In their respective remarks, they all gave assurances that Ezza people would vote massively for President Tinubu and all other APC candidates in the 2027 general election.

The stakeholders expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Minister of Works in the execution of road infrastructures, especially the legacy projects of President Tinubu administration, in the state.

A motion supporting their resolution to vote for all APC candidates in line with decisions of the elders of the populous Ezza clan in the state was unanimously adopted by the stakeholders.
