The 64th birthday anniversary of a former Deputy Governor of Abia State, Dr Chris Akomas has elicited encomiums from a state lawmaker, Hon Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, describing him as a selfless servant of the people.
Erondu, who represents Obingwa West State constituency in Abia State House of Assembly(ABHA), expressed his fond feelings for the former number two citizen of Abia in a goodwill message signed by his spokesperson, George Egejuru.
He described Akomas “as an exemplary leader, astute administrator and statesman, whose meritorious service to humanity has remained unmatched”.
“As you mark another year of life, I reflect on your outstanding contributions to Obingwa LGA, Abia State and Nigeria at large,” he said, adding, “thank you for being a shining example to us and the younger generation”.
Erondu, who is a former Director, Enyimba Football Club, Aba, further congratulated Dr. Akomas, his former boss, for attaining the milestone of 64th birthday anniversary, pointing out the huge impact the former Deputy Governor has made in his own life.
Having served as Personal Assistant to Akomas when he was Abia Deputy Governor, Erondu noted that his life of “selfless service and legacy in the state will continue to inspire and motivate” him.
Dr Akomas served as the Deputy Governor of Abia in the administration of Senator Theodore Orji and was later appointed Federal Commissioner at Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission(RMAFC).
Hon Erondu, who is the chairman, House Committee on Public Service, ABHA, prayed for the good health of Akomas and wished him joy, happiness and fulfilment in his continued service to humanity.
