Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has said that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu was very supportive of the struggle for the redemption of Abia State, which he launched 11 years ago.
He made this known in a congratulatory message in which he poured encomium on Ambassador Odumegwu-Ojukwu on her birthday anniversary, saying that she is worthy of being celebrated.
Otti effusively celebrated the Minister in the birthday message dated August 5, 2026, signed by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Ferdinand Ekeoma, made available to the media Wednesday.
He recalled with appreciation that right from when he first ran for Governor on the platform of APGA in 2015, the Minister encouraged him and supported the struggle for Abia’s redemption, which finally succeeded after the 2023 governorship election.
Otti described Ambassador Ojukwu as “an amazon who has distinguished herself in many facets of human endeavor (hence) deserves to be celebrated”.
“On a day like this, I feel excited to celebrate my sister and friend, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on the occasion of her birthday,” he said.
He lauded Ambassador Odumegwu-Ojukwu, who was Nigeria’s Envoy to Spain, for being an honest, just, and courageous Nigerian who has represented womanhood diligently and positively.
“She is a woman of strong will and courage. An amazon from the East who has distinguished herself in many facets and continues to prove that, with courage and character, nothing is too big for any human being to accomplish,” the Governor stated.
Otti noted that barely a few months after Ambassador Ojukwu’s appointment as Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, “her commitment and accomplishments are already outstanding and commendable”.
He described her as a huge asset to the Igbo Nation, Nigeria, and humanity, and enjoined her to continue to uphold the virtues and character that “have distinguished her and made her an admirable amazon”.
The Abia Governor assured the Foreign Affairs Minister that he would continue to support and stand by her at all times as she strives courageously to write more success stories in her eventful life.
On behalf of his family, the Government, and the people of Abia State, Otti wished Ambassador Ojukwu a happy birthday and prayed that she would live long in good health to celebrate many more beautiful years ahead.
